# The Colour Makers House

> Our traditional art shop specialises in handmade earth pigments alongside various historic and modern pigments. Many of these are made by artists in our on-site workshop, which you are welcome to visit.
Visit us for weekly workshops and daily demonstrations where we create our specialist Lake District watercolour and pigment sets—perfect gifts for artists and craft enthusiasts. All of this takes place in the historic Colour Makers House, rebuilt in 1677, which is also home to the art studio.
