We make eco-friendly pigments from rocks and earths across the North of Britain. We turn them into a range of natural colours and paints for all mediums. Mark, the artist, who runs the traditional shop with his wife and an amazing team are passionate about colour.
We are happy to give demonstrations
and show you how to make and turn pigments into paint.
We love sharing our experiences with you through workshops, talks and demonstrations or even a phone call if you are struggling with some aspect of painting. Take a look ands see for yourself what other artists say.
Mark is a working artist who has created hundreds of fine home portraits across the UK and beyond from his Castle Fine Art studio which incorporates the shop.
He also is fascinated by colour and works in oils when he isn't looking for interesting colours on walks across the fells.
