Mark is a polymath, fascinated by history, architecture and the creative arts. He has worked as an artist for over thirty years, creating thousands of house portraits across the UK for many private individuals, including presiding officers of financial institutions, founders of Blue-Chip companies, celebrities, leading QCs, and Government Ministers.

His works also appear in numerous Public and commercial collections in Britain and beyond.

Mark's insatiable curiosity was piqued during his travels across the country, where he delved into the study of geography and the influence of underlying geology on landscapes. This exploration naturally led him to the diverse histories, heritages, and industries of different regions.

This led naturally to writing and making pigments while still working and experimenting as an artist. He also shares his discoveries and experiences through talks, interviews, demonstrations and Alchemy Workshops.

Other than house portraits, his artworks are of landscapes and the universe using pigments he has made.
