Appleby Georgian Red Brick is is stained with rusty red iron. Similar to Appleby Red Rose Ochre although it does have a fine grit texture.

The colour is extracted from a brick that has been pulverized into a fine powder before processing. The yield from the brick is quite low compared to most ochres.

Suitable in all mediums and like most natural ochres is opaque and lightfast.

In the painted hand painted swatch card it is second in the top row.

Each vial contains approximately 10g of refined pigment and measures 22 x 75mm. The vials also make a fine gift for anybody that is an artist.
