To the north west of the Lakes is the mountain of Skiddaw. This particular umber is extracted from the multitude of molehills to be found on the common below Skiddaw.
Suitable in all mediums and like most natural umbers is opaque and lightfast.
The umber is fourth on the third row of the painted swatch.
Each vial contains approximately 10g of refined pigment and measures 22 x 75mm. The vials also make a fine gift or souvenir for anybody that is an artist.
